Our story
We both lost our hearts to the Flemish Ardennes, with its breathtaking views and challenging climbs lined with historic and heroic cobblestones. As proud hosts of our holiday home, Rizelles.be, just across the language border, we wanted to give our guests a lasting memory to take home.
What started with one T-shirt has grown into a wide collection. Not only clothing, but also unique tapas boards, a collaboration with Wijck for delightful scented candles, and many other charming items.
Discover it on our website. From T-shirts for scenic walks to rompers for future cyclists. Or choose a cosy scented candle to warm up cold winter evenings. The Flemish Ardennes, with its iconic cobblestones, is a true paradise for cyclists and walkers alike.

Rizelles
Our rural home with swimming pool for 9 guests was created just a stone’s throw from Ronse, just across the language border, nestled in the quiet of “Le Pays des Collines.”
Together, we aim to offer our guests a true sense of comfort and tranquillity.
The inspiration for the name comes from a play on words combining my mother’s name, Rita, and Ellezelles. In this way, she remains part of our dream.
Where the story continued to grow
Anyone staying at Rizelles notices it immediately: this region is no ordinary place. Located in the rolling Pays des Collines, just across the language border, the landscape blends seamlessly into the Flemish Ardennes. The hills flow into one another. The roads wind between fields and forests. The silence is broken only by the sound of tyres on cobblestones.
From Rizelles, you are just moments away from climbs that cycling enthusiasts around the world know by heart. The region around Oudenaarde forms the backdrop of iconic spring classics, with the Tour of Flanders as the most famous race. But those who stay here experience more than just one race day. You can cycle or walk here all year round among climbs such as the Koppenberg and Paterberg. You feel how the landscape and cycling culture merge into one.
And often, guests want to take that experience home with them.
Not as a traditional souvenir, but as something tangible that reminds them of their ride, their walk, or their weekend between the Pays des Collines and the Flemish Ardennes.
That is where Cobbles was born.
More than just cycling
Although the region is known for its cycling culture, it is just as beloved by walkers and those who enjoy the good life. That’s why at Cobbles you’ll find not only cycling apparel, but also products that fit life after the ride:
-
T-shirts for walks through fields and forests
-
Rompers for future cyclists
-
Tapas boards to enjoy together afterwards
-
Scented candles that evoke the atmosphere of a stay in the Flemish Ardennes
They are memories in tangible form, inspired by the region around Oudenaarde and its iconic climbs.
